As I look back over my life and I think things over, I am reminded just how blessed I am. Blessed because when I was knee deep in my mess, You never left me nor gave up on me. Blessed because You waited patiently knowing the day would come and my heart would turn from just knowing about You, to wanting to know You intimately. When I cried myself to sleep, You rocked me in Your arms and whispered, it’ s going to be alright. When my heart felt like it would break in pieces from abandonment or a broken relationship, You told me that You would never leave me nor forsake me and You haven’ t. The times when I felt unworthy of your love because of my past failures, You assured me that before the world was formed, You knew me and yet, You still called me. When I wanted to run back to old habits, people and things, You reminded me that I am a new creature, old things have passed away, move forward and look back no more. So, on this Father’ s Day 2025, I say thank you, for being the ultimate Father to me. In Your arms, I feel protected, loved and understood. You love me beyond my faults, not just for who I am but for who I am becoming.
I love you Abba Father, thank you for calling me daughter.
