The Discerner Jeanine Woollard
Jeanine ’ s work plays with the discovery of historical signifiers in the everyday , as a way of creating an alternate dimension or loop-hole . The etchings , photographs and sculptures she makes reference otherworlds and eras , borrowed from literature , art history and popular culture . Often monumental and epic in their references , they emerge from found objects , scenes and locations that are already in themselves an arrangement of unintentional props . Since graduating from her MFA at Goldsmiths in 2007 , she has participated in residencies and exhibited internationally in solo and group shows . Jeanine lives and works in London .
