The Landholders Driving Change project has laid a foundation on which it can accelerate the rate of transformational change in the BBB. LDC is working hard to deliver enduring sustainable land management for the Bowen, Broken and Bogie (BBB) catchment and accelerated water quality outcomes for the Great Barrier Reef. At the end of its second year, LDC had achieved: THE FOUNDATIO IT’S TIM accele Glen Bowen water monitoring installation. Water quality 22 • 63 properties contracted to undertake on-ground projects designed to improve water quality entering the Great Barrier Reef. • 4 large-scale remediated gullies have CSIRO water quality monitoring equipment measuring water quality data. • 9 landholders undertaking the Community Water Quality Monitoring program of local tribituaries. • Collaboration with the Paddock to Reef (P2R) modelling team to share monitoring data and a finer scale modelled outcome for the Bowen, Broken Bogie (BBB) catchment. • Integrated mix of projects across grazing land management, gully remediation, influencing other landholders (solar, linear infrastructure, councils) and sediment savings catchment-wide.
