Afterthought October has been a busy month, it included a ‘grand tour’ for fun and a bit of business. First leg was Fareham to Melton Mowbray. No pies, just an interesting mini-mixed grill in The Cutting Room. Next day was a visit to Belton House, near Grantham, a superb National Trust property - if you like big old houses, it’s well worth a visit. We left there and continued up the A1 to Yarm, a beautiful town at the top end of North Yorkshire. We spend the next day and a half making junk journals … as you do. Seeing as we were so far north (much farther and we’d need visas), we decided to nip across to the other side of the country and visit Blackpool on the way home. A day - and two nights - of bright lights, and a peep in to the famous ballroom, then we headed home. How has your month been? Kim
