To finish, I built, from the same heavy card as the rusty plates, a tube to fit in the hole, This was painted to match the other part of the tube. I also added the ‘Unstrung Hero’ plaque. This was a piece of light board, painted with Americana colours to look like dirty stainless steel, and the printed lettering applied using an image transfer technique.
