Farnborough Show- 24 / 25 February

Sharon, Sandra, and Rowena all spent time manning our stand at the Farnborough show over the weekend of 24 / 25 February.
The event started as a bit of a disaster- because of storm Doris they were locked out of the building for safety reasons, but undaunted they got set up on Friday.
Everyone ran make’ n’ take sessions. Without their usual blanks they turned to cards, and this was very successful, as they didn’ t need to base coat first.
Rob the MDF Man was there and they secured some of his stock to take to Crick to sell at the convention.
Over the weekend they secured five new members, and six renewals from last year.
We would like to return to some other shows like Exeter and the NEC, Birmingham, but we need volunteers.
Are you able to spend some time at a show with the BADFA stand? Even half a day would help. You don’ t have to take a M & T session, unless you’ d like to, and there will always be someone there to help.
If you would like to know more- like getting free entry to the show, and parking, speak to us at convention, or e-mail badfa. editor @ gmail. com

Membership …

It’ s that time of year again! For those who have yet to renew, there is attached to the e-mail a membership form. You can either pay directly in to the bank account- using the details on the form- or pay to the membership secretary at convention. Or you can post a cheque- the address will be supplied on request.
There will be forms available at Crick for those who need them.
Fees remain unchanged at £ 15 for the year for all grades( joint members at the same address, £ 20). Pretty good rates, we reckon. Less than a Costa coffee a month!
