For the second year we held a Friday Fun Night- something a little different. Last year it was building towers with drinking straws. This year the challenge was to create something that looked like an animal from skinny modelling balloons- all ably assisted by many glasses of wine. The photos speak for themselves.
Saturday. Another rush to get out of bed and down to class. Day two for Peggy, doing a
Kim’ s mucky mixed media class fawn in the woods picture. Next door something‘ alternative’ was happening. Kim was getting the group experimenting with mixed media, using their creativity and imaginations with products including Modelling Paste, Texture Sand, Cosmic Shimmers, stencils, stamps, and Media Fluid Acrylic paints.
Sunday. A day for the diehards. Peggy’ s last session, cute, fluffy birds. While the class was busy the rest of us were taking down displays, packing away sale items, and getting ready for the return to normality.
After the AGM and traditional group meal, our paint-til-late session was split between Diane’ s giant toad and Clare and Debra letting us experiment with Powertex- a fabric stiffening product from which you can create sculptures. Again best described in pictures.
