SIX HISTORIC ROYAL PALACES YOU CAN HIRE W ith its splendid royal gardens and stunning architecture, Kew Palace is an exquisite venue. The venue is set within the Royal Botanic Gardens, offering a beautiful backdrop for entertaining. The Grade I listed venue is both regal and intimate, with a rich history as the family home of Georgian royalty, particularly that of King George III, Queen Charlotte and their children. Today, this tiny yet perfectly formed royal palace is the perfect place for events. The palace and its charming outbuildings have a beauty and history which is guaranteed to fascinate your guests. Event spaces at Kew Palace include the King’s Dining Room, which still looks as it did when King George III was in Kew Palace residence. Today, the room can accommodate up to 40 guests for a reception or 30 for seated dinners. Alternatively, you could hire the Royal Kitchens for a dinner party of 40. This intriguing space comes complete with historic roasting range, charcoal grill, pastry oven, and kitchen table. The Queen’s Garden is an enclosed private garden which perfectly suits summer parties for up to 40, in the warmer months. The garden is laid out in a 17th-Century style including a gazebo, Florentine sculpture, a sunken garden and a mount crowned with a rotunda. Queen Charlotte’s Cottage can also be hired for events.
