I smiled wryly at his remark . I knew exactly what he was hinting at , but I would never allow myself to stop . I had a mission , which I needed to fulfill at all costs . Getting the medallion was just one part of the equation . I had to put a stop to not only Damascus , but Lazarius as well . Thankfully , because of information I had obtained some years ago , I knew how to destroy my creator . I needed the medallion to do it , and I was not about to let Viken or anyone else know about the plans I had been working on for over seven years now .
I slammed him back into the wall , losing patience quickly . “ Tell me what I want to know , Alek . Now !”
“ I told you . The Pendent hasn ’ t been seen for over fifty years .” He was pale and losing blood due to the deep wound in his arm . “ The last time was right before Demitrius was killed .” He whimpered , trying to squirm out of the grip I had on him , but he was too weak a vampire to even come close to breaking my hold .
