Training includes agrility drills to make your reflexes faster, and practicing how to properly catch and throw a Frisbee. In the picture to the left, this move is called a "sky" in which one player is able to "out-jump" the other player. In the image below, the move is called a layout, where players dive for the disc. You can easily get a concussion from laying out.

Honing your throwing skills is by far one of the most important skills to play Ultimate. Throwing the disc is the only way to move the disc up the field.

Training often includes agility ladders, and working on flexibility and sprinting.
