us reason to get out and
do something different
with ice skating events to
provide fresh air, exercise
and something for the entire
family or groups of kids to
do (smaller kids will need a
chaperone).
There are so many of us that
become hermits as soon
as the temps drop below
40 (yes, I hate the cold,
sue me), never to be seen
again until March, but that’s
no excuse to live like that.
Winter is a wonderful time
to get outdoors and get
some exercise and fresh air.
Many local communities are
offering you the chance to
do something as a family
by offering outdoor ice
skating. Make it a season
of memories, not expensive
forgotten gifts. We’ve got
some ideas.
Downtown Tulsa is offering
Winterfest until Jan. 7 and it’s
so much more than a frozen
puddle in a parking lot. They
have outdoor vendors, food,
skate rentals and all kinds of
things to keep you around
for an entire day of fun,
including festive-ness by the
bucketful. Even better, they
keep the love alive into next
year in case you were busy
with the holidays. Located
