Egypt: Unrest in Egypt continues. On Thur. Aug. 15, security forces drove out Mohammed Morsi’s supporters from two sprawling encampments where they had been camped out for six weeks. Protesters were demanding the Islamist president’s reinstatement. The violence left hundreds of protesters dead and saw the arrest of several leaders of Morsi’s Muslim Brotherhood. Egyptian authorities are now considering whether or not to forcibly disband the Brotherhood. United States: As full implementation approaches, President Obama finds himself defending his controversial Affordable Care Act to both Democrats and Republicans. While the controversy continues, the GOP has yet to officially present an alternative. In a White House news conference a week ago, the president said, “They used to say, ‘well, we’re going to replace it with something better.
