Letter From The Editor
“The Columbus State University Saber is dedicated to providing the student body with information that is both necessary and entertaining, and to encouraging an open dialogue.” That is a direct quote from the mission statement of The Saber. As the Editor-in-Chief, I want to ensure the commitment of the entire staff of The Saber that we are here to provide the CSU student community with news that is relevant, timely, and pertinent. Readers of The Saber are welcome and encouraged to submit letters to the Editor-in-Chief if they feel that The Saber is not achieving their expectations for providing student news, and we welcome new staff members to come write, take photos, illustrate and sell advertisements for The Saber. On behalf of the entire staff of The Saber, The Student-Run News Service of Columbus State University, I want to wish everyone the best of luck with their semester, and look forward to providing you with the news you deserve and expect. -Brandon Short Editor-in-Chief On behalf of the Student Governernment Association, faculty, staff and student organizations welcome to the start of a promising new year. I am more than excited to see each and everyone of you get involved on our wonderful campus. I encourage you all to attend the Cougar Kick Off events where you will meet faculty, staff and maybe even a new bestfriend. Our first SGA Forum will be August 22 in the rec center 12:30-1:30.
