A Moment of Your Time
I need just a moment of your time.
Don’t just sit there peeking at the seconds on your watch.
But give me a moment of your mind.
The game is tied with no time on the clock.
But I’m 90% from the line.
I’m calling my poems P.O.E.M.
Pieces of Emotions…
Pieces of Emotions…
So imagine yourself coasting.
The weather is hot and you’re close to roasting.
It’s no A/C’s just box fans and all the windows are open.
I got you stuck on the road with a traffic overload and to listen gets you your token.
See I’m coping with a dangerous anger.
And at times the fashion is to seek compassion from a room full of total strangers.
This is a eulogy of my knowledge and words.
Passionate pieces that remains unheard.
Books of ancestors, philosophers, and trinkets…
But now there is no concern.
I burn with hurt and sorrow.
I lost pieces of yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
I don’t expect this to be easy to follow.
But my words are pure to the fullest extent.
Nothing is stolen or borrowed
My past can only reach those who are willing to listen.
My time capsule is now missing.
I’m here today but still I’m fishing trying to retrieve anything that has been lost.
And the cost is to not care.
Not to even feel sorrow for my lost.
A silent “Fuck Off!”
Too many bags are tossed when they have so much meaning.
My knowledge is the reason for change.
So once again…
I need just a moment of your time.
Don’t just sit there peeking at the seconds on your watch.
But give me a moment of your mind.
