Farleigh goes from
strength to strength
An unusual
occurance

What are the chances
of a hole in one on a
golf course? and what
are the chances of
two on the same day?
olfers at Farleigh
are enjoying a
course that has
been playable all year,
despite the weather and
are now reaping the
benefits of a course in tip
top condition.
Recently a high profile group
golf day commented “Having
spoken with a number of our
customers, without exception,
all of them had a fantastic
day and felt spoilt by your
hospitality, very impressed with
the course and the facilities.
Once again, thank you for
making us feel so welcome. I
know that these things don't
happen by accident and require
a lot of planning and attention
to detail.”
The club recently celebrated
its 17th Birthday and members
we invited to a divot and dine
party, followed a fabulous cake
with Farleigh’s new mascot – CJ
the Fox, sitting proudly at the
top of the cake.
Well it happened
in the first round
of the Farleigh
Foxes (Seniors)
Championship.The
first was by David
Middleton and a
few minutes later
by John Shih. Both
were presented with
celebratory bottles
of wine by Farleigh
Management and this
amazing event has
been recognised by
‘How Did I Do’ with
a prize of a Hugo Boss
watch.
A note from Darrell Jones . . .
On the 6th June 2014 Darrell
Jones, Tracy Marks, George Hair
and George Steel completed
72 holes of golf for Macmillan
nurses on the orange course at
Farleigh.
Our first drive was at exactly
06:00, the weather was perfect
and we were prepared for
whatever lay ahead. We took a
short break after the first round
for about 10 mins.

The County Zone SOUTH EAST
On completion of our second
round we had hot showers,
a light lunch and started our
third round about 45 mins later.
The weather was warming
up nicely and so was our golf.
George steel shot level par
(gross) for the first time in his
life, perfect golf and none of
us knew where that round of
golf came from having already
played 36 holes. Another quick
break and we were pleased to
be teeing off on the same hole
for the fourth and last time
that day. We finally walked into
the club house shortly before
20:00. We have not collected
all the sponsor money as yet
but I believe it to be around
£1,800 for a very worthwhile
charity, once again I would like
to thank you and all the staff at
Farleigh who assisted us with
our challenge.
