Ridgewood graduate produces new comedy cooking show

Christopher Shaw has a new project and is eager for his hometown to hear about it . He is the producer , director and editor of a new cooking show called “ Something Smells Funny ,” which is available on the Tubi app or website .
Shaw is a 1990 graduate of Ridgewood High School and a 1994 graduate of Otterbein University with a major in theater performance , acting / directing . His directorial debut is “ Church People ” last spring , and that is available on several ondemand platforms .

YOUR love to laugh ? And when comedian Scott Wood pitched ‘ Something Smells Funny ’ to me , I thought it was brilliant and wanted to be involved ,” Shaw said .
Shaw said their producer , Timothy Watson , is a pediatrician and saw the value of the idea . “ Scott came up with the premise , and Dr . Watson suggested the recipes be on the healthy side ,” Shaw said .
Shaw said he has been doing comedy collaborations with Wood and Watson since 2012 .
“ Episode 1 is a featurette / highlight episode edited together from four unique episodes with one guest comic per episode . They range from 20-25 minutes each ,” Shaw said .
Each episode features healthy recipes and lots of laughter .
“ We ’ d love to do more , and the reactions have been very favorable including a common one stating there ’ s nothing else out there like it . Our hope is the right sponsor or investor will see it , love it and want to help us produce more episodes ,” Shaw said .
