KOA holding first fall festival

Coshocton KOA will hold its first fall festival on Saturday and Sunday , Oct . 2-3 and Oct . 9-10 . Both weekends will be filled with activities for the whole family . The festival will run from noon to 7 p . m . each day .
All of the fall essentials will be covered at the festival . The corn maze has a pirate theme this year and is always a popular attraction . Pumpkins will be available , along with the huge corn box to play in and wagon rides . The jump pad will be open and the “ rat rollers ” ( large rubber tubes to stand in and be rolled ). The duck race and barrel train ride will be fun for everyone . The large tube slide playground will be open .
Live entertainment will include Dino Roar
Tour on Oct . 2 , The Great Randini Magic Show on Oct . 3 and Michael Griffin Escape Artist on Oct . 9 and 10 . Unicyclists and jugglers also will perform . The festival also includes live music from 4-7 p . m . each day . Broken Child Band will perform on Oct . 2 , Barefoot McCoy on Oct . 3 , Big Fat Dog Blues Band on Oct . 9 and Rocky Fork on Oct . 10 .
Craft vendors will sell their items , and food trucks will be open . From noon to 6:30 p . m . each day of the festival , a beer and wine garden will be open that will serve local beers and wines . This garden is for those 21 and older .
Tickets can be purchased online , and early bird purchases are available . Family and group discounts also are available . General admission

The Scarecrow 5k is now back
Our Town Coshocton is bringing back the Coshocton Scarecrow Shuffle 5k . This is the second year for the 5k race in Historic Downtown Coshocton . The race is scheduled for Saturday , Oct . 23 at 9 a . m . with raceday registration starting at 8 a . m . Fall costumes are encouraged but not required .
