RHDD sponsored the small business of the year award , which Steve Oster , from the Coshocton County Board of DD presented . The award was given to the Coshocton KOA and accepted by owners Ryan and Camille McPeek . What started out as a small campground has grown to include several cabins , a pool , event center and site of fall and summer events that draw people from surrounding areas .
“ I want to thank everyone for this ,” Ryan said . “ It ’ s been almost 10 years and the community has greatly supported us .”
Camille said , “ We appreciate the community a lot . We are very grateful .”
The employee of the year award is sponsored by Rotary and was presented by President Tom Heading . Coshocton ’ s Rotary Club has sponsored the award for 25 years . This year it was given to Angie Williamson , administrative assistant for the City

of Coshocton . Her nominators shared that she approaches every day with a positive can do attitude and has been actively involved in the community with the United Way Board , the chamber ’ s safety council and the Conesville Recreational League .
The Young Leader of the Year award went to Dustin Klein and was presented by Dr . John Berry , president of Central Ohio Technical College .
Klein is a graduate of River View High School and completed the building trades program at the Coshocton County Career Center . He has worked his way up with Hathaway Inc . and is currently vice president . In the community he is involved with his children ’ s activities , his church , the career center , the Coshocton Foundation , and has helped with the junior fair auction .

The Coshocton County Commissioners selected Mike Layton for their first responders award . Layton has spent his career serving the community with the sheriff ’ s office , as an EMT , and a fire fighter . He has taken vacation time to serve other community ’ s in need of first responders and at the Coshocton County Fair . He worked his way up through Coshocton ’ s fire department and served 17 years as chief .

Earlier in the evening Sandy Jones was thanked for her service as the chamber board ’ s former treasurer . Hailey Helter was recognized for her quest to make it free for seventh through 12 graders at Coshocton to attend home games . Madison Miller shared about her yard sign fundraiser to honor veterans . A special program was the Columbus Zoo with appearances by threatened animals from across the globe and the evening was emceed by chamber executive committee member Evan Fischer .
Everyone ’ s hard work and dedication was summed up very well by Chamber Executive Director Amy Crown .
“ One person or one act of kindness can inspire others and create change ,” she said .
