Here are some suggestions for must sees at the fair

Whether it ’ s the rides , the foods or the exhibits , everyone seems to have that one part of the fair they just can ’ t miss . Here are some suggests from The Beacon readers about what you must see and do at the Coshocton County Fair , which will be held Friday , Sept . 27 through Thursday , Oct . 3 at the fairgrounds on Seventh Street in Coshocton .
“ I always get the little doughnuts under the grandstand and go to the educational building , the commercial building and the animal barns ,” Nancy Drake said . “ My grandson Graham got grand champion with his steer last year .”
Amy Hasseman agreed the Rotary doughnuts under the grandstand are a must , but for Aja Brandon , it ’ s the deep-fried Oreos she can ’ t wait to enjoy . They are a must , and so is taking the kids to see the animal barns and the education and 4-H buildings .
Anisha Richesson likes the food at the 4-H stand near Hunter Arena and the open class horse show costume class .
“ Some are really thought-out and super cute ,” she said .

4-H food stand .
“ It ’ s ran by 4-H members and adults involved with 4-H ,” Mullett said . “ Great food at great prices .”
D Woodward Wells has a long list of favorites at the fair . The education hall , open horse show on Saturday , open draft show on Monday , junior fair livestock shows , and Showman of Showmen contest on Wednesday evenings are all on her must-see list .
Jacque Woodward looks forward to the baked goods and pie auction and stopping by the ag hall to see the largest pumpkin and get the kids picture taken there .
Lu Ann Fox used the five basic human senses to describe what she makes sure she doesn ’ t miss each year at the fair .
“ Upon entering the fairgrounds , I love hearing the rides and the kids screaming with their friends ,” she said . “ I love to touch the biggest pumpkin and wonder how they grew it so big and transported it to the fair . I taste the fair fries with lots of ketchup and vinegar . I love to see the high school art department displays . It ’ s amazing the talent we have in our county . And finally , I always enjoy smelling the apples in the agricultural / grange hall . The Coshocton County Fair is on my calendar every year .”
Samantha Bryant said they always go to the education building .
“ Our kids usually have artwork in there ,” she said . “ We also love going to see all the animals . The goats are a favorite though .”
The goat barn is a favorite for Carolee Bookless .
“ I am biased , but I love the goat barn and all the improvements we have made and continue to make because of generous

Jeanann Dunlap likes to walk through the art hall during the fair .
“ My husband and I enter photos , and I usually enter a few crafts ,” she said . “ We like the 4-H barns with the kids and animals too .”
For Hallie Markley , a can ’ t miss at the fair is the 4-H and FFA
projects and getting to see the talent from both juniors and seniors at the career center .
Maria Munoz loves the skee ball game .
“ I go to the fair almost every year for that game , also for the dumplings ,” she said .
Grace Hacker ’ s entire family has their own favorites at the fair .
“ All year long I look forward to the blooming onions and fair fries smothered in vinegar and ketchup ,” she said . “ The husband , being a General alumni , always visits the Ridgewood stand , who never disappoint with their selection . The two kids love the giant slide and anything sweet .”
