You know this year is a unique one
when Brady has a different uniform
Someone asked me
over the weekend what was
wrong with the Tribe, as in
the Cleveland Indians. I said,
“I don’t know; I thought they
were rolling.” Well, I guess
not. Somehow, the Indians
went on a six-game losing
streak and are now in third
place behind the White Sox
and the Twins. Geez, things
sure change quick in today’s
world, don’t they?
Right now, the Tribe is
still in position for a wildcard
berth, and I think — but
don’t hold me to this — the
first-round wildcard games
are a best two of three, not
the one game play-in like
past seasons.
The Dodgers are running
away with the National
League, but the playoffs are
a different season altogether
as we know from past
experience. The Cubs have
a solid chance for a playoff
run.

Moving on to the NFL,
it seems the Browns are off
to their usual start to the season.
How weird is it that
Tom Brady is not in a Patriots
uniform?
It appears we have turned
the COVID-19 pandemic
into something political.
Anyone surprised? Neither
party should be doing this.
You gotta feel for the
folks in California, Oregon
and Washington right now.
The wildfires are severely
out of control with people
losing their lives and much
less important, their property.
Three million acres
have burned in California
alone; the headlines are calling
it a “hellscape.” This is
not something we deal with
here in East Central Ohio, so
trying to imagine what it is
like would be very difficult,
I think.
We need to appreciate
our teachers and all those
involved in providing
instruction to our kids in
this very challenging year.
It’s probably not much fun
for anyone, but I am sure
they are making the best of
it as you know they would
do. This also goes to all
the parents out there who
are providing instruction at
home while trying to juggle
work, home and family obligations.
Everyone is being
asked to do more right now
and to do it with patience
and a healthy outlook on
things.
This pandemic will be
solved — it’s just a matter
of time now I believe. Some
are saying a vaccine will be
available by year end; the
top scientists and researchers
in the world are working
on a solution. According
to the website at www.
cdc.gov, Coshocton County
has 227 cases as of Sept. 14
with about 7,000 new cases
reported in the past week.
COVID-19 is here and is
still something to continue
being diligent about as we
go about our daily lives.
Are you going to vote
absentee, in person at the
board of elections prior to
Election Day or wait until
Nov. 3 and vote at your
respective polling place?
The estimate is that up to
60% of votes cast will be
prior to the election this year.
Let’s get ready to help
support the youth who have
livestock projects at the fair
this year.

Letter to the Editor:
We would like to comment
on the recent letter
submitted to the editor on
Aug. 26 titled “May God
Bless America again in the
November election.” We
loved it. There was no fake
news to that. We agree the
comments were true and
right on. Hopefully, the
File
nation will see the truth and
cast their vote for Donald J.
Trump.
