Geraldine R . Nichols , 92 , of Coshocton peacefully passed away at her home on Sunday October 2 , 2022 .
She was born in Coshocton on August 13 , 1930 , to the late George D . and Grace S . ( Randles ) Fisher .
Geraldine was a devoted member of The Presbyterian Church of Coshocton where she attended since 1939 .
She graduated from Conesville High School in the class of 1948 , and then attended The Ohio State University for one year . Geraldine graduated from Muskingum University and began her teaching career in 1955 at Fresno Elementary School . Throughout her teaching career , she also taught at Conesville and Keene
Ruth Adkins , age 90 , of Port Washington , passed away on Friday , September 30 , 2022 . She was born in Richardson , Kentucky on March 7 , 1932 to the late John and Ella ( Butcher ) Van Hoose .
She and her husband , Billy were the owners and operators of Adkins Speedway in Port Washington for many years . Ruth also worked for Walmart in her later years .
Ruth was a member of the Victory Assembly of God Church in Newcomerstown . She enjoyed cooking , decorating her house and spending time with her family . She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her .
She is survived by her daughter , Joan Adkins ; 9
Elementary in Coshocton County and French Run Elementary in Columbus .
In 1980-1981 she was a Jennings Scholar to Capital University in Columbus . After retiring from teaching in River View School District , she was employed as Historian in

grandchildren , 11 greatgrandchildren and many nieces and nephews .
Along with her parents , Ruth is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years , Billy Gene Adkins , who passed away on January 18 , 202 ; her three children , Tony , Kyle and Cheryl and 9 siblings .
Calling hours will be held on Thursday , October 6 , 2022 , from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Given- Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home . A funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm with Pastor Duane Mourer officiating . Burial will take place at Coshocton County Memory Gardens .

Her affiliations included the Ohio Teachers Association , Coshocton County Retired Teachers Association , Coshocton Historical Club , and Coshocton County Genealogy Society .
Family , friends , church , children , and teaching were the love of her life .
Geraldine is survived by her son Jim ( Terri ) Woodie ; granddaughter Tricia ( Troy ) Balo ; grandson Dusty ( Michelle ) Woodie ; four great-grandsons Ethan , Wesley , and Riley Woodie and Zach Balo ; one great-granddaughter Haley Balo ; six nieces and eight nephews .
Along with her parents , she was preceded in death by her four sisters , Wathena Krieder , Colleen Hammersley , Pauline Hootman and Patricia Saxton ; three brothers , George Fisher , Dewey Fisher and infant brother , Vincent Fisher .
Friends called at The Miller Funeral Home , 639 Main St ., Coshocton , Ohio 43812 on Tuesday October 4 , 2022 , from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM where funeral services began at 1:00 PM with Lloyd Tenney officiating . Interment followed in Coshocton County Memorial Gardens .

BRIGHTON , MI- Sandra K . ( Murray ) Stoker passed away at home on September 26 , 2022 following a long illness .
She was 80 years old , born to the late Fred and Lillian V . ( Dobson ) Murray . Mrs . Stoker was married to Michael Stoker for 55 years , he survives . The couple were junior high school sweethearts , were married on July 1 , 1967 , and moved to Michigan that same year .
Sandra was a registered nurse , having worked for a time at River View Local Schools . She was also a business woman , joining her husband in 1978 in forming a corporation specializing in the design and building of coin-operated laundries and car washes .

In addition to her husband , she is survived by a brother , Steve ( Nancy ) Murray of Coshocton ; a niece , Shelly ( Jeff ) O ’ Dell ; a nephew , Marc ( Stephanie ) Murray ; great-nieces and greatnephews , Carli ( Austin ) Kirby , Dustin ( Mallory ) O ’ Dell , Ethan Murray , and Keeley Murray ; and several cousins .
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister , Vivian Carole Murray .
