Warsaw Alumni Association awards scholarships
The Warsaw Alumni Association awarded $ 12,000 in scholarships to 10 River View graduates from the Class of 2022 .
Since 1992 the association has awarded $ 142,875 to 183 River View graduates . There are two types of scholarships awarded each year . Warsaw Alumni Scholarships are funded by graduates , teachers and friends of the school or community . Familyrelated scholarships are funded by families of the local community . These awards were presented at the 2022 River View High School Awards Assembly .
This year they awarded three alumni scholarships . One went to Owen Hettinger , son of Dean and Jennifer Hettinger . He will attend Xavier
University and major in finance . The second went to Aaliyah Better , daughter of Robert and Ashley Better . She will attend the University of Finlay and major in physical therapy . Kelsey Bowman , daughter of Wendy and the late Butch Bowman , was the third winner . She will attend Marietta College and major in business .
Seven other graduate received family-related scholarships that are funded by local families . The Conrad Family Memorial Scholarship of $ 2,000 was awarded to Isabella Justice , who will attend the Ohio State University and major in psychology . She is the daughter of Kenneth and Dawn Justice . This award is funded by Mr . and Mrs . Jim Gill and Linda Guess
Conrad-Bowen and her daughters , Ronda Conrad Kidwell and Sheryl Conrad .
The Scruggs Scholarship of $ 2,000 is funded by Stephen S . Scruggs , a 1965 graduate of WHS . This award was awarded to Conner Webster , who will attend the Ohio State University at Newark and major in chemical engineering . He is the son of Perry and Tracy Webster .
The Lawrence Memorial Scholarship of $ 1,000 was awarded to Bryson Fry , who will attend Akron University and major in sports marketing . He is the son of Cary and Jennifer Fry . This scholarship is funded by the family of Richard and Mary Daugherty Lawrence and Mr . and Mrs . Jon Husted .
The Davis Family Memorial Grant of $ 1,000 was awarded to Colston Lauvray , who will attend the University of Northwestern Ohio and major in agriculture business and equipment . He is the son of Greg and Michelle Lauvray . This grant is funded by a local Davis family to honor their father and uncles , Reo , Denny , Ward and Marvin , all Warsaw graduates who dedicated their lives to education , law , bank and agriculture .
T h e C l o d a u g h Brenneman Cline Memorial Scholarship of $ 1,000 was awarded to Benjamin Unkefer , who will attend Cedarville University and major in computer engineering . He is the son of Jonathan and Amy Unkefer . This scholarship is coordinated through the
Coshocton Foundation and funded by the late Al Cline , Clodaugh ’ s husband and family .
The Dwight Fesler Memorial Scholarship of $ 1,000 was awarded to Bailey Roberts , who will attend Central Ohio Technical College and major in nursing . She is the granddaughter of Kimberly Sapp . This scholarship is funded by Mrs . Judy Stubbs Fesler , Dwight ’ s wife .
The Buxton Family Memorial Scholarship of $ 500 and the Dr . James and Norella Walker Memorial Scholarship

of $ 500 were awarded to Gage Summers , who will attend Bluffton College and major in prephysical therapy . He is the son of Dalton and Jessica Summers . The Buxton Scholarship is funded by the Selby Buxton Family , and the Walker Scholarship is funded by Terry Walker , their daughter and a 1963 graduate of Warsaw High School .
The Warsaw Alumni Scholarship Committee wishes to thank all 2022 contributors who make this scholarship program available to graduates of River View High School .
