EARLY IN-PERSON AND ABSENTEE-BY-MAIL DEADLINES :
• Early in-person voting for the November 5 , 2024 General Election will end at 5 p . m . on Sunday , November 3rd . If after that time you still need to vote , you will need to do so at your polling location on Election Day .
• If you requested an absentee ballot by mail and plan to return it by mail , it must be postmarked by November 4th and received at the Board of Elections by November 9th .
• If you are returning a ballot in person , it needs to be returned to the Board of Elections office or drop box not later than 7:30 p . m . on Election Day . Absentee ballots CANNOT be returned to polling locations .
Please note that due to recent changes , if you are returning an absentee ballot other than your own , you cannot place it in the drop box ; you must return it in the office and complete an affidavit attesting that you are either a member of the voter ’ s family or the caretaker of a voter with a disability .
ELECTION DAY VOTING :
Election Day is Tuesday , November 5th . The polls will be open for voting from 6:30 a . m . - 7:30 p . m . There is no voting at the County Services Building on Election Day . You must vote at your polling location :

VOTER IDENTIFICATION :
An unexpired ID containing the voter ’ s name and photograph is required to vote . The following forms of ID are acceptable under Ohio law :
• Ohio driver ’ s license , state ID card , or interim documentation issued by the Ohio BMV . A digital driver ’ s license is not valid . * An old address is permissible as long as the ID has not expired .
• A United States passport or passport card .
• A U . S . military ID card , Ohio National Guard ID card , or US Department of Veterans Affairs ID card .
