By Marianne Austin For The Beacon

Sixth Street Tattoo and Piercings had a great turnout and good weather for its fourth annual trunk or treat party for the community on Oct . 24 .

“ We started this during CO- VID to provide a safer trick or treat ,” Billy Valentine said . “ It was very successful , so we just stuck with it . It is a safer way than going door to door . We just wanted to do it for our community .”
Valentine said all their friends and clients were invited to come and pass out treats from their car if they wanted .
Chris Graham was standing in front of the business handing out treat bags .
“ This is something we have done for four years . We started it because of COVID to make sure the kids had a little trick or treat and to make sure they have a little Halloween . It has gradually grown , and we have 100-175 bags already that we prefilled .”
Three-year-old Tchalla attended with stepdad Andrew , mom Genesis and dad Mekio . He has been trick-or-treating since he was a baby .
Genesis said , “ He knows the drill . He loves trick-or-treating , and he loves people .”
Andrew said , “ We all came out because he doesn ’ t like to be alone .”
Briar , 2 , and Ayla , 4 , along with mom Sam , dad Virgil and Grandma Brenda came out for trunk or treat . Ayla was dressed as a little witch , and Briar was a little green frog .
Anyone who donated candy for the event was entered into a raffle for the chance to win a gift certificate .
