Clary Gardens hosted a fall open house on Oct . 24

Clary Gardens hosted a fall open house on Thursday , Oct . 24 . As the leaves start to fall and the air turns crisp , it ’ s a wonderful time to take pleasure in the outdoors .
“ We invited the community to come out and see the space , all the new plantings , and our gardener Jodi Shrimplin is here ,” said Jandi Adams , director of Clary Gardens . “ We have snacks , refreshments and wine . We ’ ve got the new white garden with a large arbor and the new Japanese garden . The white garden has a lot of white plantings . It is one of our more formal gardens . We ’ ve got all these new spaces .”
The yoga instructor also was on hand , and the yoga studio was open for Reiki

Clary Gardens hosted a fall open house for anyone in the community who wanted to come out and experience autumn in the gardens . sessions .
“ Some of our practitioners are here to talk with people and show them where to come for our sessions ,” Adams said . “ Of course , we have the fireplace , food and wine , and we are just hoping to meet people in the community to showcase what we are doing here . We used this space all summer , not only for weddings , but also the shelter for our children ’ s educational events . We have yoga out here . We had adult classes , theatrical classes and our falcon exhibit here in the summer . We do quite a lot . We are really proud of this space and all of the people that put in the work here locally . We like to show it off .”
Dawn Adams with ABC Yoga started teaching yoga four years ago with Coshocton County developmentally disabled people .
“ In September last year , the classes were opened to the public at Clary Gardens with chair-based yoga and Humble Warrior Yoga ,” Adams said . “ To check out their site on Facebook , go to Yoga at Clary Gardens . This has been a great team effort under Jandi ’ s direction . We are very proud of what we have accomplished here in the last two years . “ This is a wonderful place to go outside and get away . You can come out here in the woods . We have had a lot of people come out this summer , bringing their kids , eating lunch under the shelter . This is a
nice venue to just get out of the city , and the gardens have a nice calming effect .”
Marion Sutton , former board member , said , “ There are so many new features since I was here last . It is just gorgeous . Such hard work and to see it with the trees all turning , it ’ s the right day to be here .”
Delia Meek , current board member , said , “ It looks absolutely beautiful . From the time it started up until now , it ’ s just amazing , gorgeous . This is the wedding venue that everybody wants , and we are booked .”
Mayor Mark Mills said Clary Gardens gets better and better every year .
“ There is a walking trail through the woods . I love it ,” he said . “ It ’ s weird : My dad can grow things , my grandfather actually worked for Clary Gardens , and I can ’ t grow anything . So bring the kids and go back in the trails to walk around . Bring your grandkids here . They have a lot of different programs , theater productions . They have weddings here . It ’ s such a unique space . When people say there is nothing to do , this is free . If you want to come here and enjoy a walk around , it ’ s free .”
