Montgomery Foundation taking grant applications
The Montgomery Foundation is accepting grant applications from local nonprofit entities that have a specific need or project for which they would like to be considered for grant assistance . To be eligible , the entity must be 501 ( c )( 3 ) qualified by the IRS , located within Coshocton County or service Coshocton County , and the project must be capital in nature . Grants are not provided for operational expenses .
The Montgomery Foundation , originally established as a private family foundation , has recently received approval by the IRS to be organized as a public charity and support organization of the Coshocton Foundation . This change enables acceptance of monetary donations and bequests to the endowment and the ability to establish donor advised funds .
