Coshocton High School ’ s varsity girls soccer team ended its tournament run with a 1-6 loss against Steubenville Catholic Central .
After a tight battle in the first half , Steubenville CC pulled away for the sectional tournament victory . It was 1-2 at the half after Mia Lauvray found Zoey Tumblin for Coshocton .
“ We had to take some chances in the second , and the Crusaders made us pay ,” CHS head coach Kimmie Underwood said .
Madi MacDonald had four saves in the goal .
“ We want to congratulate the seniors and team on a fantastic season ,” Underwood said . “ I think we surprised a lot of people this season and are very proud of what we built as a team . The seniors wrap up their careers with a winning season and first-ever MVL championship .”
In varsity volleyball action , the Lady ‘ Skins defeated Claymont in the sectional finals . Lilah Laaper had 32 assists . Jaeli Tiedt and Kenidi Jackson both had 19 digs , and Lacey Guthrie had 13 . Guthrie also had 12 kills , and Jackson had 12 .

River View High School ’ s Gavin Gress tied for fourth place at the OHSAA Boys Division II State Golf Championship .
The freshman golfer had a 150 overall score and made the All Ohio first team .
