6th GRADERS ATTEND CAMP AT CAMP OHIO !!!
River View Sixth Graders embarked on an exciting adventure at Camp Ohio from September 17-20 . The students had a blast participating in various activities like zip lining , rifl ery , cooking , tie dying , fi shing , and cooperative games classes . In the evenings , they engaged in thought-provoking and entertaining activities , including reenacting the underground railroad , enjoying entertainment from the counselors , and coming together around a “ campfi re ” for skits ( there was no campfi re this year due to the burn ban and drought )! The camp ’ s success wouldn ’ t have been possible without the outstanding guidance and support of our high school counselors .

New CKLA Curriculum Comes to RV !!!
We implemented a new ELA curriculum in grades K-5 at RV this year ! It is off to a great start . Our teachers have been participating in professional development and training on the new curriculum this fall and that will continue throughout the implementation process .
This curriculum comes with some creative and fun ideas that celebrate and integrate what the students are learning into classroom activities and fi eld trips . Our Third Grade students will be the fi rst to integrate a trip into the curriculum as they go to the Columbus Zoo on October 31st . The current unit they are doing is on the animal kingdom , so that trip will be a great way to explore their learning goals in a real life , hands on way !
