Tammy and Toby Gore are the organizers of the event . “ We believe in giving back to the community we grew up in and raised our family in and that has supported our family business for 46 years . This is our second year of doing this . We hope to see it continue to grow and get the community involved .”
Tammy said she and Toby have donated 30 trees so far this year . “ We have 12 different community groups , clubs or businesses bringing in a tree and decorating it . We will definitely accept more donations ,” she said .
She asks that trees be at least 6 feet tall . Everything that goes on the tree should be donated . While she is willing to decorate the trees , she would really appreciate help decorating the donated trees .
Most of the trees are themed , and everything including the tree is sold to the highest bidder . Tammy Gore said the trees are numbered , and there will be silent auction bid sheets that people can place bids on .
