CHS volleyball downs West M

On Tuesday evening , Oct . 5 , the Coshocton Redskins volleyball varsity team escaped West Muskingum with a four-set victory in a match-up of two MVL small-division teams . Scores of the match were 25-21 , 23-25 , 25-23 and 25-21 .

Leading a balanced offensive attack for Coshocton was Lindsay Bryant with 13 kills while Hailey Helter added 10 , Addy Gordon posted eight and Kenidi Jackson had seven . Jalynn West set up the offense with 40 assists .

Defensively , Miyah Davis dug up 23 attacks to lead the ‘ Skins while Bryant added 19 and West also reached double figures with 11 .

Addy Gordon was a force behind the stripe as she served up seven aces .

The JV ‘ Skins also had their hands full but prevailed with a three-set victory by the scores of 25-14 , 24-26 and 25-18 .

Jillian Given had 22 assists and seven service aces to lead the Redskins .

Lacey Guthrie and Saige Abbott each pounded seven kills while Maggie Laaper added six .

Ridgewood

RHS volleyball defeats Claymont

Ridgewood defeated Claymont by scores of 18-25 , 25-16 , 25-23 , 22-25 and 15-13 .

The Lady Generals were led by Ella Matusik with 53 assists , four kills , 14 digs , three blocks , 11 points and two aces ; Hannah Maust with 26 kills , 18 digs , four blocks , five points and two aces ; Karissa Gress with 13 kills , seven blocks , three digs , four points and four aces ; Kaelynn Robinson with 12 kills , 15 digs , two blocks , five points and two aces ; Kadin Belt with 14 digs , six points and one ace ; Kya Masloski with six digs , two kills and two blocks ; Kelley Masloski with two kills , two blocks and five assists ; and Kaiedence Smith with five digs , nine points and three aces .

Ridgewood ’ s freshman team won in three sets , and JV lost in three sets .

Ridgewood lost to Indian Valley by scores of 12-25 , 22-25 , 25-18 , 25-14 , 15-17 .

Gress named match medalist

River View defeated both Licking Valley and Tri-Valley in a junior high golf match held Sept . 30 .

The Black Bears team score was 169 . They were led by Gavin Gress , 35 , match medalist ; Colton Gress , 42 ; Caleb Kline , 45 ; Taylor Harstine , 47 ; Clark Frischen , 50 ; and Brynn Harstine , 51 .
