The ceremony was held Thursday afternoon with the junior high band performing for the event . Legion Chaplain O . J . Buser gave a short prayer , and Bill Cox presented the flag to principal Gene Overholt .
FRIDAY , SEPT . 26 , 1980 Tomorrow morning at 7 a . m . the 129th Coshocton County Fair opens with Senator John Glenn overseeing the event . The first event of the fair will be a pony pull contest sponsored by the Holmes County Pulling Association at 9 a . m . and the judging for the open class poultry . At 1 p . m . the junior fair king and queen will be crowned at the start of the harness races . Opening night will be capped by horse pull events starting at 6 p . m .

MONDAY , SEPT . 24 , 1990 A book on the history of Keene High School is being worked on by the Keene High School Alumni . John Patterson , the historian working for the alumni is looking for materials regarding the school such as yearbooks , but in particular photographs . Photographs of the old gym , the 1913 school fire , classes held at the village store and various other sports and school functions . |

THURSDAY , SEPT . 28 , 2000 The Seventh annual Kiwanis Special Education Track and Field Day was held yesterday . One hundred and seventy-nine student-athletes participated in the event . Eight schools as well as Hopewell In-dustries participated . Among the highlights was a softball throw , which was won by T . J . Bachman a 12-year-old at South Lawn . Bachman has won the event for the past three years . The day was capped off by a wheelchair slalom , which was won by Samantha Thompson .

WEDNESDAY , SEPT . 22 , 2010 Pam Morgan , author of “ I Stand a Miraculous Journey from Paralysis to Praise ,” and recording artist will be speaking at the Grace United Methodist Church ’ s Women ’ s Conference held on the 25th . Morgan has appeared on Oprah , Montel and the 700 Club speaking about her life . In 2000 she was paralyzed in a car accident . She will also be holding a concert at the Christ United Methodist Church in Newcomerstown later in the day . She and her husband will be making another appear-ance at Grace the following day to attend service .
