Your vote embraces what the individual represents

Letter to the Editor :
My wife reminded me the other day that if I was going to say anything else before Ohio will be voting , I needed to submit an editorial now . Micah 6:8 states , “ He has told you , O man , what is good ; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice , to love kindness and to walk humbly with your God ?”
I wanted to state that in the current political environment , your vote for president actually is embracing what that individual represents and openly states . I have always been willing to accept compromises when deciding on any political candidate . I have never really expected to find a candidate I agreed with completely . That is how this democracy works .
The year 2020 has changed that for me when I look at my choices for the office of president . Micah 6:8 talks about a basic belief in what is good and what God requires of us : justice , loving kindness and being humble .
When I look at our current president , I see none of these values being talked about or demonstrated in any way . When I look at his opponent , I do see these being not only stated , but actually acted out . I see one individual who seemingly has no desire or sense about justice for all , being kind or humble . I suppose I can be misled , but I see none of this in our current president , who is supposed to try to lead and care for all of us . Ed Gallagher Coshocton
