Coshocton Art Guild ready to share with community

By Josie Sellers Beacon Editor
The Coshocton Art Guild is heading into spring with a new slate of officers and plans to share members’ talents with the community.
Kim Gress is the new president. The vice president is Jack Hunt. The financial team includes Hunt, Gress and Shara Prindle, and the secretaries are Lynn Fraelich and Ernie Galajda.
In addition to meeting once a month to share projects, the art guild members operate the Tollhouse Art and Gifts, which Gress manages. The shop is in Historic Roscoe Village at 408 N. Whitewoman St. in Coshocton. Hours are Thursday through Friday from 11 a. m. to 5 p. m. and Sunday from 10 a. m. to 4 p. m.
“ I always tell people we have a little bit of everything in here,” Gress said.
The gallery is filled with a variety of artistic pieces. There is jewelry, pottery, paintings and more.
“ We have about 17 vendors and feature an Artist of the Month,” Gress said.“ The artists keep their collections fresh, and people always bring in new stuff.”
Artists must sign a vendor agreement and volunteer one day a month and a Saturday or Sunday every two months. The vendor fee is $ 15 or $ 30 depending on the size of your space.
The Coshocton Art Guild members also volunteer at places like Clary Gardens and offer classes at their shop in Roscoe. The next class at Tollhouse Art and Gifts
