CHS basketball players are honored

Several boys basketball accomplishments were recognized at the April 28 Coshocton City Schools Board of Education meeting.
Colton Conkle was first-team MVL, firstteam District 5, first-team East District, first-team All-Ohio and MVL Small School Player of the Year. He also set the following school records: career points at 1,743, season points at 648, career 3-pointers at 169, career assists at 422, career field
goals made at 591, season field goals made at 220 and career steals at 350.
Alex Taylor was firstteam MVL, first-team District 5, first-team East District and All-Ohio special mention.
Logan Lonsberry was All-Ohio honorable mention, and Blayden Workman tied the school record for most 3-pointers in a game with eight.
The 2024-25 Coshocton varsity boys basketball team set the school record with 21 total team wins. Helping to lead them was James Herman, East District and District 5 Coach of the Year, and Jeremy Conkle, District 5 Assistant Coach of the Year.

Volunteers are needed to assist in outside maintenance of the Eagle Ridge Disc Golf Course. Work assignments will be given upon arrival. Work will take place Saturday, May 10 from 10 a. m. to about 2 p. m. Pizza and cold water will be provided. Lunch will be around noon and is being donated by Domino’ s.

Keene Alumni plan banquet on May 24

The Keene Alumni Association will hold its annual banquet on Saturday, May 24 at 5:30 p. m. at Keene United Methodist Church in the fellowship hall.
All graduates of Keene, Three Rivers and River View high schools who attended Keene are invited. The River View Class of 1974 will be honored. Recognition will be given to the scholarship winners and the senior man and woman, and the Honored Alumnus Award will be presented.
The menu will include ham loaf, cheesy potatoes, green beans, tossed salad, pie, rolls and beverages.
Reservations are $ 20 per person and need to be made by Thursday, May 15. They can be sent to Carol Miller, 26395 state Route 60 N., Warsaw, OH 43844. Any graduate who was not previously on the mailing list should call 740-824-4379.
