Charles “ Buz ” Glass , 84 , of Coshocton passed away on May 8 , 2024 at his home . He was born on January 3 , 1940 in Jackson , Ohio to the late Charlotte S . ( Carter ) and Andrew Steppenbacker . In his younger years , Buz enjoyed sports , playing softball , football and ice hockey . After high school , he entered the United States Army and proudly served from 1957 to 1960 . He acquired his associates degree and had a successful career at Lester / ITT Industries as a Quality Control Manager where he worked for 37 years until his retirement at 57 years old . In October of 1960 ,

he married his first wife , Carol Ann ( Peebles ) Glass who passed away in 2004 .

On October 11 , 2014 he married his current wife , Gloria ( Vanderhoff ) Glass , who survives . As a charming gentleman , Buz enjoyed taking Carol dancing and loved to do the Jitterbug . Gloria enjoying traveling with Buz . They traveled to the mountains , car shows and were regulars at the Amish Country Theatre , watching comedy . Buz made friends everywhere he went and all the places he lived , including Brunswick , Alliance and Warsaw . He could be described as helpful , driven and encouraging ; he worked hard to improve the lives of others . He dedicated time and effort to

Charles “ Buz ” Glass
the members of the Carnation City Baptist Church helping with home and Church improvements . He was a great storyteller and shared lots of memories with those he loved . He enjoyed working and his yard was a reflection of his work . Buz also enjoyed fishing and hunting , dating back to his childhood when his father would take him hunting .
Buz professed his faith and was saved on May 5 , 2024 with the help of his brother in Christ , Pastor Ed Tanley surrounded by his loved ones .
Along with his wife , Gloria , Charles is survived by his children , Cassandra
Edith Marie ( Fisher ) Welker passed away peacefully and surrounded by family Saturday , May 11 , 2024 , at the age of 82 . She was born Dec . 20 , 1941 in Coshocton Co . to the late Leo and Pearl ( Guthrie ) Fisher . She was married to the late Dean Welker , Harold Ross , and Robert Carson .
Edith is survived by her children , Roberta ( Mario ) Castillo of Texas , Constance Rouse of Rhode Island , Lois ( Art ) Gluyas of Stow , Penny ( Dean ) Smith of Coshocton , and Mike Welker of Coshocton ; and a son-in-law , Earl Bosson of Coshocton . Also surviving are her grandchildren , Mario Castillo , Jr ., Adam ( Karen ) Castillo , Adrienne ( Mark ) Hippard , Virginia Allen , Kattie Jane ( Charlie ) Tremblay , Clarence Reid , Ashley Anderson , Lindsay ( Jason ) Ligas , Renee ( Greg ) Opphile , Tabbie ( Kyle ) Cramblett , Beth ( Caleb ) Sexton , Mike Geog , and Mike Welker , Jr .; twentythree great-grandchildren ; her siblings , Sarah ( Jimmy ) Dawson , and Walter
( Joe ) Holtzmann , Curt Glass , Cooper Glass , Tonja Bowser , Crystal ( Tim ) McCloy , Kimberly ( Don ) Fisher , Shelia Reber and Daniel ( Diane ) Timmerman ; daughter-in-law , Lisa Glass ; many grandchildren , great-grandchildren and one great greatgrandchild ; siblings , David ( Delores ) Steppenbacker and Dan ( Linda ) Steppenbacker ; sisters-in-law , Kathy , Michele and Brenda Steppenbacker .

“ Butch ” ( Trish ) Fisher ; many nieces , nephews , and cousins ; and her dearest friends , “ The Blissfield Babes & Friends Forever ”, Beverly McConnell , Bobbie Cooper , Janet Fox , and Jeanette Wells .
Throughout her life , Edith enjoyed her family , gardening , animals , friends , church , reading , singing , crocheting , collecting glass , and finding a good deal at the flea market . For many years you could also find her hosting one of the many yard sales during the West Lafayette “ Yellow Flag Sales ”. She was a charter member of Victory Baptist
Carter , Ronald , Andrew and George Steppenbacker .
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday , May 18 , 2024 from 1pm to 5pm at The Welcome Church of Christ in Millersburg . The Veteran Honor Guard will perform Military Honors at 1:30pm and a time of sharing to follow .

Church in Coshocton , as well as a member of the Ohio Eastern Star , West Lafayette Baptist Church , and Prairie Chapel Church . She served on the Coshocton Co . Board of Elections and after her retirement from the Dept . of Human Services in Coshocton , she volunteered at Coshocton Hospital as a “ Pink Lady ”.
In addition to her parents and husbands , she was preceded in death by a sister & brother-in-law , Leah & David Marshall ; and daughters Rebecca Bosson and Candy Dickerson .
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p . m . Wednesday , May 15 , 2024 at Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw . Burial followed at Prairie Chapel Cemetery . Visitation was Tuesday evening from 5-7 p . m . at the funeral home , as well as one hour prior to service time on Wednesday . www . fischerfuneralhome . com
