The choir is made up of various countries in Africa that come from dire backgrounds including at least one parent , and many times both are deceased or have no contact with them . The choir was scheduled three years ago , and then COVID hit our nation and that desire came to a halt . Finally , last October , plans were solidified for a return visit to the county .
The Ugandan group made a trip to Coshocton County from Tuesday , April 4 through Friday , April 7 . The workshop / concert was designed to involve many attending students to play drums and learn some traditional dance steps to the music . The evening concert titled Just As I Am was held at the Coshocton Nazarene Church to a 350-member crowd including several hymns and traditional Ugandan music with dance moves . It also was live streamed
