Most nights there is a wait for a table . “ We are so blessed by the people who come here to sit and enjoy ,” Miller said . “ They are the reason why we are here . They are locals , and there are visitors alike . It is a good mix .”
What locals have remembered as the home of Miller ’ s Dutch Kitchen has been transformed into a modern space that can seat up to 130 people and serves breakfast , lunch , dinner , and coffee and sweet treats . The space was designed with help from Mark Miller ’ s wife Maureen , a designer

“ We are very into sourcing local foods ,” he said . “ Most of our breads are made within just a few miles of here . All of our burger comes from Baltic Meats and Sugar Valley Meats . We believe in keeping things local . Even our lettuce comes from nearby in Charm .”
For those looking for coffee and pastries , East Main has it covered with pastries made in the inhouse bakery . There is biscotti for coffee dipping and layered cakes , as well as fresh baked pies on hand every day that range from fresh fruit to pecan and even chocolate cream .
“ Our desserts are all made from scratch ,” Troyer said . “ There is nothing that comes from a distributor when it comes to our sweets .”
Both Miller and Troyer praised the workers who are part of the family at East Main . “ It may sound cliche , but we are a family . This is a community , and we take care of one another ,” Miller said . “ We are so thankful for their commitment to us , to our customers and to each other . Their loyalty is unmatched .”

Since East Main Kitchen opened its doors five years ago in Baltic , a tradition of a hometown restaurant continued . Today it has become a go-to place for locals and visitors alike .
High-top tables , couches and chairs are all options while having coffee , hot espresso or tea . And while the eatery is a for-profit business , a percentage of the profits are earmarked for mission work around the world , especially when it comes to orphan care .
“ We wanted to create a space in the community where people can gather ,” Mark Miller said . “ Our goal was to provide a good
