BF-18333 opportunity to showcase their herds . We have Myotonic shows scattered across the country . We travel five to 10 hours from home as nothing is offered close to home . I thought it was a great opportunity to work with Travis ( Hahn ) when he approached me in regard to doing the show . Not only do we get to do what we love , enjoy time with our goat families , we get to share it with the community .”
Organizer Travis Hahn said , “ We wanted to host the show at Coshocton , not only because it ’ s our home town , but also because we ’ re doing this show to benefit local 4-H and FFA youth . Almost all of our proceeds will be going back to help local youth and their livestock programs . We are trying to not only promote the goat industry , but help our local youth . We are even hosting a completely free show for any local youth that are taking a market wether to the fair .”

Taylor also said the show is to promote and support local FFA and 4-H chapters . “ Not only will they be able to present their animals in the show ring , but they will also be making great contacts with breeders from across the country who can provide them with valuable

Shows will begin at 8:30 a . m ., and spectators are free . Entries will be accepted until the day of the show , and they are anticipating a minimum of 150 entries . Entries are being processed through the Showman App .

Library will hold its book sale
The Coshocton Friends of the Library annual book sale will be held Thursday , Aug . 4 and Friday , Aug . 5 from 10 a . m . to 5 p . m . and Saturday , Aug . 6 from 10 a . m . to 1 p . m . at the Coshocton Public Library .
In addition to bargains on thousands of books , movies and magazines , a silent auction will be held for books of higher value . The items to be auctioned will be on display in the book sale room throughout the sale or may be previewed at the library prior to the sale . Proceeds from the sale benefit the Coshocton Public Library , West Lafayette Branch Library and Bookmobile .
The Coshocton Public Library is located at 655 Main St . in Coshocton . The book sale will be located in the Books Galore used book store and the meeting room in the basement of the library . Shoppers should use the basement entrance off the side parking lot . The sale is handicap accessible from the main floor of the library . Call 740- 622-0956 for more information .

A Baby Expo will be held Thursday , Aug . 4 from 10 a . m . to noon at the Coshocton County Fairgrounds . The rain date is Thursday , Aug . 11 .
The event will include freebies , door prizes and family-friendly information on breastfeeding , carseat safety , child development and nutrition .
Expectant parents and parents or caregivers of an infant up to their first birthday are all invited .
