Mark E . Appis , 69 , passed away peacefully on January 2nd , 2025 , surrounded by his family at the Coshocton Regional Medical Center .
Mark was born the second of five children on July 21 , 1955 , to Richard and Joyce ( Manning ) Appis . Graduating in the Coshocton Class of 1973 , Mark would go on to work at Young ’ s IGA up until their closing in 1984 , and then would later spend over 25 years selling insurance at Western & Southern . In his retirement , Mark would spend his mornings having “ meetings ” with his friends at McDonald ’ s where they would socialize and try to solve the world ’ s problems . He would marry the love of his life , Lynn Renee ( Hardesty ) Appis on June 17 , 1984 , where they would go on to spend 40 happy years together . Later having two children , Mark took pride in being a family man and would always seek to provide them with the best life he could give them . With his family , he enjoys spending many vacations at

the beach , going to sporting events , having picnics , or even just staying in and playing Euchre or Rummy . He also spent Sunday mornings with his family at Burt Ave . Wesleyan Church where he was a long-time member .
Along with his wife , Mark is also survived by his children Ryan ( Leah ) Appis of New Albany , OH and Kelsee ( Corey ) Saylor of Coshocton , OH ; a brother William ( Denise ) Appis of Coshocton , OH ; sistersin-law Shelly Hardersty , Diane Johnson and Dixie Hardesty ; brother-in-law Michael Hardesty ; three

granddaughters Kammi and Kennedi Saylor and Avella Appis ; along with many nieces , nephews , and cousins .
In addition to his parents , Mark was preceded in death by brothers Richard Appis & David Appis , sister Jonell , and brother-in-law Randy Hardesty , along with his grandparents and many aunts , uncles , and cousins .
For those wanting to pay their respects to the family , calling hours were held at The Miller Funeral Home in Coshocton on Tuesday , January 7th , 2025 , from 5:00pm to 7:00pm and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday . A funeral service was held on Wednesday , January 8th , 2025 , at the funeral home starting at 11:00am with Pastor Rod Uhlig officiating .
Interment followed in South Lawn Cemetery .
In lieu of flowers , donations may be made to Burt Ave . Wesleyan Church located at 230 Burt Ave ., Coshocton , Ohio 43812 .

Larry R . King , 84 , of Coshocton , died Tuesday evening , December 31 , 2024 , at Altercare Coshocton .
Born June 9 , 1940 , on the family farm in Adam ’ s Mills , he was the son of the late Lawrence “ Buck ” and Geneva ( Balo ) King and a 1958 graduate of Jefferson High School . Even from a young age , Larry established himself as hard working , dedicated man . He began working at an early age for Cox and Ross farms . Larry worked road construction for a short time before becoming employed as a maintenance man at General Electric where he retired after 38 years of service . Throughout his working career , he farmed his family farmland as third generation until his health declined in the summer of 2024 .
When Larry wasn ’ t working you could find him at the racetrack in his “ King Size Toy ”. In addition to his drag car , he owned many corvettes throughout his life and was a member of

Coshocton Corvette Club . In 1961 he was the NHRA Drag Racing Champion in his class and his love for cars and racing never waned . After retirement , Larry and Judy found themselves traveling and enjoying the company of friends while they journeyed to Florida for the winters , and adventures to Alaska and Hawaii . Throughout his retirement , Larry combined his joy of working and farming by refurbishing and restoring tractors and equipment .
Larry was known as a special friend to many ; he called on friends across generations

connecting with many through his farming and racing . He brought immerse joy to his family and friends through his kind heart and fun-loving spirit .
Surviving is his wife of 60 years , Judy ( Rice ) King , whom he married on September 20 , 1964 ; a daughter , Molly ( Shawn ) Bordenkircher ; two sisters , Elaine ( Kenny ) Birkhimer and Karen Henry ; two grandchildren , Emily Alexander and Ben Bordenkircher ; and one great grandchild , Kingston Alexander .
In addition to his parents , he was proceeded in death by a daughter Jennifer King , and a brotherin-law , Carl Rice .
Family and friends were able to call 1:00-3:00pm , Sunday , January 5 , 2025 , at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home , 714 Main Street .
Funeral services were held at 10:30am , Monday , January 6 , 2025 , at the funeral home with Rev . Jeff Chapin officiating .
Larry was laid to rest at Dresden Cemetery .

Marjorie Robin ( May ) Jones , 100 , passed away at home on Friday January 3 , 2025 .
Marjorie was born in Cleveland on March 8 , 1924 . She was the daughter of the late Charles and Christina ( Baptie ) May . She graduated from Northfield High School in 1943 , and on August 13 , 1946 , she was married to James Alexander Jones , who passed away on February 15 , 2011 . In addition to her parents , and her husband , she was preceded in death by her son , Bruce Jones ; and her brother , Charles May . She was a longtime member of Happy Neighbors and Ohio Bell Campers , and was also a member of the Keene Hill

Grange and the Keene United Methodist Church , and a former member of Cleveland Jaycees and numerous clubs in New Jersey .
She loved cooking for
family , and was a talented artist who loved crafting . Marjorie and Jim shared a lifelong passion for traveling with their RV across the country and enjoyed many years of flying their private plane across the country . She was a loving wife , mother , grandmother , and great grandmother who was always ready to prepare a homecooked meal or give a cookie to the grandkids .
Marjorie is survived by her daughter , Debra Endsley ; five grandchildren , Jocelyn ( Robert ) Mulvaney , Chad ( Katy ) Endsley , Todd ( Leanne ) Endsley , Nicholas Jones , and Barry ( Elaine ) Jones ; great grandchildren , Caroline , Lily , & Austin

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a . m . Thursday , January 9 , at the Keene United Methodist Church . Pastor Paula Marbury will officiate . Burial will follow in Keene Cemetery . Visitation will be from 10:00 until service time .
