Coshocton ’ s varsity boys basketball team fell to Maysville 61-65 on Dec . 20 . Colton Conkle led the way with 31 points , and Alex Taylor added 19 .
The Redskins then came back and picked up a victory over Martins Ferry 70-42 on Dec . 21 . Colton Conkle scored 26 points , Alex Taylor had 15 and Logan Lonsberry had 12 .
CHS faced Northridge on Dec . 27 and defeated them 64-61 . Colton Conkle recorded 20 points , Logan Lonsberry had 17 and Blayden Workman had 15 .
On Dec . 28 CHS took down Ridgewood 75-59 . Colton Conkle collected 36 points , and Alex Taylor had 17 .
RIDGEWOOD
The Ridgewood Lady Generals bowling team participated in the River View Invitational on Jan . 4 at Legacy Lanes .
Submitted Kaydence Lahna broke the Ridgewood school record for highest single game with a 192 in bowling .
Kaydence Lahna finished as the third overall female with a three-game series of 509 . She broke the school record for highest single game twice , rolling a 187 in the second game and a 192 in the third game . Kaylee Kunze finished with a 371 , and Harlea Beckett had a 369 three-game series .
As a team the Lady Generals bowled their two highest team games with a 701 in game two and a 702 in game three .
RIVER VIEW
River View High School hosted nearly 300 swimmers at its 22nd annual swimming invitational on Jan . 4 at the Janet Jones Mulligan Natatorium at Coshocton High School . The girls placed third overall out of 20 schools with 134 points , behind Bishop Hartley ( 171 ) and winner St . Clairsville ( 190 ). The boys finished ninth out of 18 with 56 points , with Dover finishing first ( 178 ).
Points were awarded to the top 12 in each event . The Black Bears medaled in four different events . For the girls the relay of Ally Fischer , Lily Grewell , Riley Gottardi and Britany Hammond placed third in both the 200 medley ( 2:26.04 ) and the 400 freestyle ( 4:49.78 ) while Gottardi placed second in the 100 backstroke with a meter time of 1:16.99 . Jamison Adams also placed second in the 100 back for the boys with a time of 1:09.81 .
The girls earned additional scoring in the 200 freestyle relay , where Kynsingten McMasters , Natylee Milici , Atyana Milici and Hammond were eighth ( 2:20.36 ); the 200 individual medley , where Fischer was sixth ( 2:59.52 ), Grewell was seventh ( 3:00.82 ) and McMasters was eighth ( 3:10.17 ); the 100 butterfly , where Gottardi was sixth ( 1:18.87 ); the 100 breaststroke , where Grewell was fourth ( 1:31.48 ) and McMasters was fifth ( 1:32.26 ); the 100 back , where Fischer was seventh ( 1:22.91 ); the 100 free , where Hammond was ninth ( 1:16.06 ); and the 400 free , where Ava Lewis was 12th ( 6:26.53 ).
For the boys JT Allison placed fourth in the 400 free ( 5:35.76 ) and sixth in the 200 free ( 2:36.17 ), Dustin Gregory was sixth in the 100 fly ( 1:24.25 ) and seventh in the 100 breast ( 1:31.73 ), Adams was eighth in the 50 free ( 28.42 ), and the 200 free relay of Allison , Charles Young II , Gregory and Adams was 12th ( 2:24.01 ).
In varsity wrestling the River View Black Bears competed at the Shadyside Last Man Standing Tournament . The team placed fifth overall out of 15 teams . Placing individually in the top six were Alex Smiles ( 113 ), fifth ; Aaron Seiler ( 132 ), sixth ; Gavin Huff ( 138 ), third ; Cameron Mobley ( 144 ), third ; Blaze Klein ( 150 ), second ; Blayne Mounts ( 190 ), second ; and Brayden Carpenter ( 215 ), third .

The River View Lady Bears bowling team is the 2025 Black Bear Invite champions .
the River View Invite at Legacy Lanes . The Bears struggled on the lanes and didn ’ t make it into match play , finishing the day in sixth place .
Leading the way for River View was junior Carter Hammersley with a threegame set of 181 , 234 and 192 for a 607 series , finishing fifth place and first team as an individual . Sophomore Kolton Duff had a three-game set for a 566 series . Sophomore Konner Mercer chipped in with a three-game set for a 496 series .
The girls bowling team also competed at the Black Bear Invite at Legacy Lanes . The Lady Bears fought all day and finished the three regulation games and six baker games and qualified as the third seed . They advanced to the best of five bakers

semifinal , where they defeated the No . 2 seed New Philadelphia Lady Quakers 3-1 , and then in the finals , they knocked off No . 1 seed Garaway 3-0 to become the 2025 Black Bear Invite champions .
Leading the way for the Lady Bears were freshman Morgan Rowe with a 501 series and fourth place in individuals , sophomore Karley Stocker with a 461 series and 11th place in individuals , and senior Maeve Gentile with a 457 series and 13th place in individuals . The bakers lineup of Mya Dobson , Madi Bryan , Karley Stocker , Maeve Gentile and Morgan Rowe carried them to the championship .
Both River View teams will be back in action on Saturday , Jan . 11 for the Dover Invite at Wabash Lanes .
