Kyle Dobbins has been flying an unmanned aerial vehicle for about 6 1 / 2 years . His interest in learning to fly one started after a hot air balloon ride .
“ Back in June of 2017 , I won a ride on a hot air balloon that my employer sponsored . The pilot , David Conrad , and I took off from the Coshocton County Fairgrounds during the Coshocton Hot Air Balloon Festival and landed in a field that is now Genesis Coshocton Medical Center . stays there until you move it . It makes capturing photos so much easier . Doing
videos is a little more challenging ,” he said .
Dobbins said he loves seeing everything from a bird ’ s-eye view .
“ It ’ s a whole perspective that most would normally never see in their lifetime . Something else that piqued my interest is finding old photos from long ago , many before my time , and then capturing the same image in the present from the same angle . It ’ s fascinating to see how the world changes around us ,” he said .
He looks around the area and in Ohio for places that may be getting torn down so he can get before and after photos . He also records the progress of new buildings as they are being built such as the sheriff ’ s department . He also enjoys taking pho-
