Cross enjoys his real-life Minecraft experience trip

Brayden Cross has enjoyed Minecraft since he was 10 and recently had a real-life experience with the game .
“ I found the game in the summer of 2012 on YouTube and started playing on Pocket Edition v0.5.0 Alpha on my fourth generation iPod Touch and Java Edition on PC ,” he said . “ I was so heavily immersed in the game to the point where my father and I handmade an in-game chest referencing gameplay on the internet during Valentine ’ s Day 2013 in fourth grade at Conesville Elementary School , and I still have it to this day .
“ I didn ’ t have too many friends growing up and didn ’ t have many as into gaming as I was , but this was a place where I could be my own company . I played in creative mode recreating video game maps , movie scenes , even my own home or places I know and anything I thought looked cool . I still have every single one of my old worlds to this day . I ported the files from my iPod 4 to my PC to archive them and experienced them in virtual reality .”
Cross loved the style of the game .
“ It is something a lot of people grow out of and don ’ t understand , but for me , the more time that goes , it means more and more to me and keeps growing a special place in my heart ,” he said . “ It is something I started very long ago , and I don ’ t like quitting things , so it naturally still grips me .”
Recently , he traveled across the country to enjoy The Minecraft Experience : Villager Rescue .

Brayden Cross has enjoyed Minecraft since he was 10 and recently had a real-life experience with the game .
“ I focused on the metaaspects of Java Edition and saw it on the website because I am always looking for events , features and items ,” Cross said . “ I wanted to go because it was an in-person event and for a Java Edition cape for my childhood account ‘ BraydenCross .’ I collect capes and have many rare ones on my Java account .”
His favorite part of the experience was the physical blocks and mobs .
“ Anything I could walk on and feel with my hands was awesome ,” Cross said . “ It was almost indescribable . I am glad I was able to go , but I know I always stay a step ahead of anything Minecraft-related . I have always researched updates years before they were put into place , so I knew when I saw this event nothing was going to stop me from doing this . I prepared for it and wore a black shirt with the Minecraft logo on it .”
Cross was born and raised in Coshocton and is the son of Warren and Retta Cross of Coshocton . He graduated from River View in 2021 and is an actor , taking classes and being represented by an agent .
“ I work another job for a steady income ,” he said . “ I have been in the short horror film ‘ 241 ’ and the Universal movie ‘ Shooting Stars .’ I enjoy going to the movie theater a lot too .”
