Exhibit extended and special book now available
The Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum ’ s current special exhibit , “ Historic Photos of Roscoe Village ,” has been extended . The exhibit will now be open until Friday , Jan . 31 .
Step into a journey through time and witness the transformation of Roscoe Village , captured through historic photographs from the late 1800s and early 1900s alongside portrayals of its 1970s restoration .
From now until Jan . 31 , visitors of The Johnson- Humrickhouse Museum will be transported back to an era of horse-drawn carriages and bustling
canal commerce , getting a glimpse into the everyday

lives of Roscoe ’ s inhabitants , from merchants and craftsmen to families and travelers . Witness the dedication of the community as it embarked on a journey to restore the faded grandeur , from dilapidated buildings to revitalized storefronts .
To go along with the exhibit , “ The Pictorial History of Roscoe Village ” has been released as well . This collection contains more than 150 photos from Historic Roscoe Village during the late 19th to early 20th centuries . It is available for purchase in person from the JH Museum gift shop , the Roscoe Village Visitors Center and Auer Ace Hardware and online at www . jhmuseum . org / gift-shop for $ 15 .
“ Historic Photos of Roscoe Village ” is presented in collaboration with Roscoe Village and is sponsored by the Roscoe Village Foundation , the Roscoe Village Business Association and the Johnson- Humrickhouse Museum Foundation . Prints of the photos on display will be available for purchase during the show .
