Masloski shares district reopening plan revision
The Ridgewood Local Board of Education held a budget hearing on Jan . 7 at Ridgewood Elementary in the cafeteria with all members present . Treasurer Jay Tingle reported on the tax budget for fiscal year 2022 . The organizational meeting followed . John Riebesell was elected president and Alan Folkert vice president . The oath of office was administered by Tingle .
Board meeting dates were set for the 2021 calendar year : Feb . 8 at RES at 6 p . m ., March 15 at RES at 6 p . m ., April 19 at RES at 6 p . m ., May 17 at RES at 6 p . m ., June 18 at RES at 7 a . m ., June 30 at ADM building at 8 a . m ., July 16 at ADM building at 7 a . m ., Aug . 16 at ADM building at 6 p . m ., Sept . 20 at ADM building at 6 p . m ., Oct . 18
COTC seeking nominations
For almost 50 years , Central Ohio Technical College graduates have made significant contributions to their professions and communities . They are viewed as rising stars by their managers and peers and are established professionals acknowledged for their expertise .
To celebrate its upcoming 50th anniversary , COTC is seeking nominations for notable alumni to feature in a special anniversary publication focusing on 50 years of the college ’ s community impact . Fifty alumni who exemplify extraordinary leadership and citizenship through business , philanthropy , advocacy , education , volunteering and mentoring will be selected . at ADM building at 6 p . m ., Nov . 19 at RHS at 7 a . m . and Dec . 17 at RMS at 7 a . m .
The regular board meeting held at 6:45 p . m . began with commendations to the board of education for Board of Education Recognition Month . All members were given a certificate of appreciation for their service . Superintendent Mike Masloski updated the board on the reopening plan revisions .
Beginning Monday , Jan . 18 , all Mondays will be teacher remote and preparation days . All students will return to face to face on Tuesday through Friday . Masloski also reported sealed bids will be taken for some items being sold including two pianos , a leg press , a leg

COTC is planning a yearlong 50th anniversary celebration , which will kick off in July .
COTC is a fully accredited public college dedicated to providing high-quality , accessible programs of technical education in response to current and emerging employment needs . COTC is the only technical college in Ohio operating four full-service campus locations : Newark , Coshocton , Knox and Pataskala . machine and miscellaneous free weights . College Credit Plus MOU for the 2021-22 school year from Kent State University was approved .
The next meeting will be Monday , Feb . 8 at 6 p . m . at Ridgewood Elementary School in the cafeteria .

Museum offering free days to local residents
Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum recently finished a major remodel . Aside from the cosmetic changes , the renovation has given the museum the opportunity to update exhibits and displays .
Also , every Sunday is free for residents of Coshocton County .
