Howell is one of only two women on the village council , the other being long-time councilwoman Christy Mauer . Ordinarily , new members of council are sworn in by the mayor or the village solicitor , however , Attorney William Todd Drown requested the honor of administering the oath to Howell .

Howell who is 32-years-old and the single mother of two has worked as an Ohio title agent and legal secretary for Drown since 2007 . Howell came to work for Drown upon graduation from the JVS and Ridgewood High school some 15 years ago . Howell ssaid , “ I intend to work hard for the citizens of West Lafayette and hope that as a woman and young mother , I can bring a new voice and positive perspective to the village council .” She is the daughter of Daniel and Tina Hardesty . Tina Hardesty is paraprofessional at the Coshocton County Career Center . Dan Hardesty is a school bus driver for Coshocton City Schools .
Coshocton Kids Stuff Sale set for March
The Coshocton County Kids Stuff Sale is having its spring and summer sale Friday through Monday , March 25-28 .
CCKSS is a sales event open to Coshocton and surrounding areas . The purpose is to provide an opportunity for the public to buy and sell gently used children ’ s items such as clothing , shoes , accessories , and toys . Maternity and junior items are also included .
For those who have attended similar sales in New Philadelphia and Zanesville , the concept is the same . The inventory changes with each sale , depending on what sellers have
to offer on consignment . Monday , March 28 , is half price shopping day , when buyers may purchase any item with a starred price tag at half price .
CCKSS is open to the public : Friday , March 25 , 5-8 p . m .; Saturday , March 26 , 10 a . m . to 6 p . m .; Sunday , March 27 , 1-6 p . m .; Monday , March 28 , 10 a . m . to noon for half price day . The location is The EPICenter , 100 E . Main St . in West Lafayette . Parking is available across Main Street in the public parking lot .
