BEFORE
Through this whole season , we had multiple conversations about where she wanted to attend college , and the name that came up in every single conversation was Pikeville . With that being said , we want to congratulate Kenidi Jackson in her commitment to her academic and athletic career at the University of Pikeville .”
Jackson was very engaged in high school with Varsity C , Key Club , National Honor Society and served as vice president of her class .
“ I have been very involved in school and sports , particularly volleyball . I was in the recruitment process , and I along with three of my friends came across Upike . We visited the campus and fell in love with it . It is very small , very beautiful , and it just felt like home . I had my mind set on Upike , but it was the first place I visited and I didn ’ t want to commit right away . But I loved that place and couldn ’ t imagine myself going anywhere else . I want to spend my four years there playing volleyball , taking classes and eventually go to OSU for a veterinarian degree . I love animals . I have two dogs and five cats ,” Jackson said .
Her mom Susan Jackson said , “ We are wishing Kenidi the best of luck in her new journey at Upike . We are excited and beyond proud of all her accomplishments .”
Her dad Guy Allton said , “ We are extremely proud of her . She has gotten her college scholarship , and I am very anxious to see her play .”
