McMasters is River View ’ s Elks Teen of the Month
Kynsingten McMasters is River View High School ’ s Elks Teen of the Month for February . She is the daughter of Rob and Raychel McMasters of Coshocton .
McMasters has been involved in the following school activities : Chamber Choir and currently serving as president and previously vice president , Certified Gold as a representative on choir council , music department public relations , theater on stage , Drama Club , Tri-M Music Honor Society , varsity swimming and has been a district qualifier for the past two years , Student Council as vice president , National Honor Society as vice president , board of education student representative , the superintendent ’ s students advisory council , acceptance committee , sixth grade camp counselor , Den Leaders , the Gender Sexuality Alliance Club as president for two years , Nike Club and Film Club .
Her community activities include Rising Tide Aquatic Club , Girl Scouts , Youth Chorale , Mobile Market and Cambridge Performing Arts Center . She has more than 200 hours in community service . She also attends Zane State College and Muskingum University through the College Credit Plus program . She has been recognized for her academics by the Muskingum Valley League .
She also has completed two senior projects . One of her senior projects is managing the public relations for the music department . She has completed more than 30 hours of service . In this project she helps boost the music department and grasp more publicity . She completes this project

with River View senior Lanie Nickerson and junior Savannah Babcock . This project also has highlighted seniors and cast members for the spring musical on Instagram , as well as creating a “ Musical Madness ” bracket in March for Music in Our Schools Month . In the past this role also hosted a Tri-County Music Meet and Greet .
In her second project , she has completed more than 30 hours of service as the first student representative to the board of education in all the MVL area and beyond . In this role she serves as a nonvoting member to the board , providing student insight and information . This role works very closely with administration to fix issues head on . McMasters is big on activism and public speaking . She uses this role to fight injustices like homophobia , racism and disability-related discrimination . She has been able to create a district-wide

acceptance committee for principals , teachers and staff members to discuss injustices and share insight . In this committee there are discussions on discrimination , book club meetings , presentations and other projects .
She also has been working closely with River View Superintendent Chuck Rinkes and River View High School Principal Josh Branch to create the superintendent ’ s student advisory council , which is a council made up of nine students from seventh grade through 12th grade . The purpose of this council is to get even more student insight to problems arising in the school district .
McMasters currently works at the Johnson- Humrickhouse Museum in Roscoe Village . Upon graduation she plans to attend a four-year university and study musical theater to get her Bachelor of Fine Arts . She is unsure of where at this time .
PCC hosting church leader ’ s brunch on Thursday Feb . 27
Pastors and church representatives are invited to the Pregnancy Center of Coshocton ’ s annual church leader ’ s brunch on Thursday , Feb . 27 from 10 a . m . to noon at LeRetilley Event Center , 211 West St ., Coshocton .
