Finding the perfect gift can be difficult , and some people have more “ stuff ” than they want . This year , why not support local businesses and give the gift of an experience , instead of an item that may just sit on a shelf ?

Coshocton is full of things to do , and a little creative thinking can help you pick just the right place for a fun time for your gift recipient .

A gift card from Shelby Theatre or from Legacy Lanes could entertain a family for a few hours over Christmas break . Movies and bowling are always popular choices for families .

For someone who likes to stay in shape , what about a gift certificate for Kids America or dance , tumbling or martial arts classes for kids ? McFarland ’ s Martial Arts , Miss Jody ’ s and Miss Jennifer ’ s would all be wonderful gifts for kids to be active and learn . If you know someone who could use a little stress relief , a gift certificate for yoga classes might be perfect .

The Triple Locks Theatre is another option for local entertainment . Tickets are very reasonable , and anyone who loves the arts would be thrilled with

that . How about a gift certificate for a local golf course for someone who wants to learn to play or already loves the game ?

For the history buff in the family , a membership for the Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum would be appreciated , as would tickets for the historical tour in Roscoe Village .

Thinking ahead to next summer , pool passes for KOA or the Lake Park Aquatic Center would be great for kids or families . Or passes to the fair next fall . Or offer to pay for a child ’ s summer camp .
