COVID-19 test kit distribution will be held
The Coshocton County EMS will help distribute COVID-19 home test kits daily from 10 a . m . to 4 p . m . at both of these stations : Warsaw , 329 Main St . ( use the entrance door on the west parking lot side of the building ), and West Lafayette , 405 Main St .
S t e v e L o n s i n g e r , health commissioner for Coshocton County Health Department , said COVID-19 still poses risks . Community transmission rates remain high in many areas , and the highly contagious Delta variant is still spreading .
The Ohio Department of Health ’ s Holiday Guide advises people to get tested before attending any gathering if you have symptoms of COVID- 19 or have a close contact with someone who has COVID-19 . Consider getting tested if there is any chance you may have been exposed to someone who has COVID-19 , even if you are asymptomatic .
The Ohio Department of Health has the following advice for having safer celebrations :
— Choose to get vaccinated ; it ’ s the best way to protect yourself and your loved ones .
— When indoors , ensure proper ventilation .
— Space your dining areas .
— Maintain safe distancing .
— Consider wearing masks indoors .
— Stay home and do not host a gathering if you have any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 .
— Get tested before attending any gathering if you have symptoms or have a close contact with someone who has COVID-19 .
— Make sure everyone washes their hands frequently and uses hand sanitizer .
— Regularly disinfect high-touch surfaces .
