Recently , Andi Ellis , Century National Bank , and Isaac Bush , director of Kids America , volunteered their time to teach personal finance with the students from River View High School utilizing Junior Achievement resources to instruct .
Junior Achievement USA is committed to developing and implementing programs to help students understand the importance of planning for their financial future . Junior Achievement USA is a nonprofit organization financed by businesses , foundations , government and individuals .
Recently , Andi Ellis , Century National Bank , and Isaac Bush , director of Kids America , volunteered their time to teach personal finance with the students from River View High School utilizing Junior Achievement resources to instruct .
Mrs . Moran ’ s personal finance classes worked with Ellis and Bush .
They presented topics about Plan to Earn , Saving for Life , The Budget Game , Credit Choices and Savvy Consumer . They met with the students once a week for five weeks . The experience was enriching for the students to integrate and learn the financial issues faced by teens and young adults in today ’ s world .
Board members honored
D . Cordell Brown and Larry D . Pepper , board members for the River View Local School District , were each recognized for their 16 years of service by the Ohio School Boards Association ’ s Southeast Region during the board of education ’ s meeting on Dec . 9 .
Brown and Pepper began their service on the board of education in 2006 and will continue serving until the end of 2021 . Brown also served an appointment to the Coshocton County Career Center Board of Education .
The Southeast Region is comprised of 18 counties representing 84 school districts .
